Rev. Whitney Wilkinson Arreche

Whitney is a Presbyterian Church (USA) minister who has served as a mission worker in Belfast, Northern Ireland and a solo pastor in rural North Carolina. She is a Doctor of Theology (ThD) student at Duke Divinity School, studying the theo-economic grammar of reconciliation, that is, how whiteness, power, and money are embedded in the theological and political use of that word. She serves on the Governing Board of Young Clergy Women, International and the Presbyterian Church (USA) General Assembly Committee for Ecumenical and Interreligious Relations. Whitney hopes to give grounding to the project through creative engagement with decolonial knowledge (academic and otherwise), as it interrogates her own whiteness, and the white supremacy too often unchallenged in the church
